Content and moderation policy

//

WebJourney is a safe-for-work image generation service. This page sets out what we will not generate, the controls that enforce it, and what happens when someone attempts to bypass them. It applies to every account and every request, including unauthenticated previews.

1. Prohibited content

Child sexual abuse material

Any sexual or suggestive depiction of a minor. Prompts combining a minor — named, described, or by stated age under 18 — with sexual language are refused, as are known slang terms for this material. This results in immediate and permanent account suspension, with no strike allowance.

Sexual violence and non-consent

Depictions of rape, molestation, or sexual activity involving an unconscious, drugged, or otherwise incapacitated person. Immediate suspension.

Nudity and sexual content

WebJourney is a safe-for-work service. Nudity, pornography, and explicit sexual imagery are refused regardless of context, including artistic, classical, or educational framing.

Sexual or intimate imagery of real people

Sexual depictions of identifiable real individuals — named, described by public role, or requested as a deepfake or lookalike. This applies whether or not the person is a public figure.

Political figures

Images of political figures are refused in any context, including benign ones. Synthetic political imagery carries a disinformation risk that we do not consider acceptable to manage case by case.

Violence against real people

Depictions of killing, assassination, execution, or injury directed at identifiable real individuals.

Extreme violence

Beheadings, dismemberment, and comparable graphic material.

2. How the policy is enforced

Pre-generation prompt screening

Every prompt is screened before any image is produced and before credits are charged. A refused prompt never reaches the image provider, so prohibited content is not generated in the first place.

Evasion resistance

Screening normalises prompts before matching: character substitution (ch1ld), separator insertion (c h i l d), repeated letters, diacritics, and mixed case are resolved to their plain form. Combination rules distinguish ordinary use from abuse, so "a child playing in a park" is permitted while the same word beside sexual language is not.

Provider-side filtering

Our upstream image provider applies its own independent safety filtering. A prompt must pass both layers to produce an image.

Curated public gallery

Generated images are private to the account that created them. Nothing a user generates is published to the public gallery automatically; public artwork is curated.

Logging and review

Every refusal is recorded with the prompt, category, severity, timestamp, and originating IP address. These records support investigation of abuse patterns, appeals, and refinement of the screening rules against real traffic.

Rate limiting

Generation requests are rate limited per IP address to limit automated probing of the screening rules.

3. Consequences

CategoryConsequence
Child sexual abuse material; sexual violenceImmediate permanent suspension
Real people; political figures; violence against real peopleRecorded as a strike; suspension at 3 strikes
Nudity and sexual contentRequest refused and logged; no strike applied

Credits are never charged for a refused request. Nudity is treated as a content-policy refusal rather than abuse, so a user who asks for something we do not generate is told no without penalty. Deliberate attempts to produce illegal material are treated as abuse from the first attempt.

4. Limitations

We state this plainly rather than overclaim. Automated prompt screening operates on language, and no language-based system catches every phrasing, euphemism, or language it has not been written to recognise. Screening is kept under review against observed traffic, and the logged refusal records exist precisely so gaps can be identified and closed. If you encounter content on WebJourney that should not have been produced, please report it so we can address both the content and the gap that allowed it.

5. Reporting and appeals

To report content, or to appeal a suspension you believe was applied in error, contact us here or at hello@webjourney.ai. Appeals are reviewed against the refusal records described above. Reports of suspected child sexual abuse material are treated as the highest priority.

This policy sits alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Credit packs and pricing are listed on the pricing page (3 plans).
